Adaptive voltage mode cannot be configured much at all by the user, and is generally dismissed for use when over clocking, due to the high VCore values it will produce, which The board's CPU VRM stage simply supplies the voltage and current the processor requests, and does not itself set the VCore value.Cache bus links areas such as CPU cores, DDR4 Memory Controllers, System Agent and the shared L3 Cache. It is a critical interconnect for the whole CPU subsystem. Higher cache bus frequency directly gives faster total sub-system performance. ASUS OC Socket exclusively provides an adjustable cache bus voltage to reach higher cache bus frequencies. I've started to tweak the cache ratios and voltages on my 5960x and I'm getting a bit concerned. I went from Auto/Auto (which is like 24x125 at 1.0v) to 36x125 at 1.25v. I've been reading the rule of thumb is to keep the cache at 0.05v lower than the CPU voltage. CPU is also at 36x125 btw. Package temperature is way up, like 10C up.
